Newspapers are screaming the gravity of the economic situation. It isn’t just bad – it is a crisis. World wide. The worst. We should be scared, very scared. Emotion is an element of determining our behaviour. Pretty or not, this is an undeniable fact. The current economic situation is probably having an effect on all of us, one way or another. And this is fourth quarter with all the budget scrutiny that annually occurs. If your team members are worried about their job in addition to everything else, your team and organization will feel the impact. This is a time for leaders to lead through engagement. What does that mean right now?
The Right Questions*
Let’s take a breath, consider what we have to be grateful for, build on our strengths and become even stronger and more focused teams during this challenging time. Now is a time for leaders to truly engage! Leaders - Want to Assess Your Listening Skills for Engagement? Our Certified Coaches (Lois Tori, Peggy Grall and Kathleen Redmond) are offering a 20 minute complimentary coaching session that focuses on your listening skills for engagement. On September 23rd we held the Leadership by Engagement Book Launch at Oakview Terrace. Don Cousens, an incredible leader in business, political arenas and the founder of the Character Community Movement, was Master of Ceremonies. Don has been an inspiration and voice of wisdom to us at the Centre for Character Leadership. Thank you Don for the outstanding and generous MC job.
Lois Tori, a dynamo with years of experience at RBC and now becoming an Executive Coach, lead the networking session. Lois has volunteered extensively with the Character Community Foundation and as Co-Chair of the National Movement for Harmony. We are grateful for Lois’ presence on our team.
Our Team
