Happy New Year!
With the New Year it’s time for a New look and we welcome
you to the first edition of “In 60 seconds” from the Centre for Character
Leadership.
The Centre for Character Leadership serves leaders who strive to instill
character attributes into every aspect of their organization. We can
show you how working with character benefits everyone and produces superior
results. Based on the work of Kathleen Redmond & Associates, The
Centre for Character Leadership provides proven coaching and training
methods as well as a wealth of real world experience.

Kathleen Redmond, MA, is a passionate advocate of
healthy workplace communication. She has spent over 25 years working
in a variety of positions including management, college professor and
university lecturer. For the past fifteen years she has traveled North
America speaking, training, and coaching in the domain of communication
skills.
Focus: Leaders targeting improved engagement on their team
Lois
Tori, Senior Associate
Consultant, Coach, Trainer
Lois Tori is a passionate coach who believes that using
a respectful coaching approach with Leaders will help them achieve their
potential. By understanding their values and applying them in the workplace,
Leaders will become more respected and effective. Lois brings more than
25 years of senior leadership experience with RBC in a variety of roles
where she earned a reputation for developing high performing teams and
delivering superior results.
Focus: Boards of Directors who choose to create a high performing
team and senior leaders.
Don
Cousens, Senior Associate – Governmental Leadership
Consultant, Keynote Speaker
Don Cousens has served in a variety of Political
leadership positions since 1981 when he was first elected as MPP serving
as Deputy Speaker, Minister of Corrections and Opposition Critic for
Environment and Finance. His most recent role was as Mayor of Markham
where he served from 1993 to 2007. Don also brings Business experience
where he held a variety of leadership roles with Honeywell Limited.
Don Cousens is available to work with Elected Officials and Government
Staff Leaders.
Focus: Boards of Directors and Senior Leaders
Fred
Faber, Senior Associate – Educational Leadership
Consultant, Trainer, Coach
Fred specializes in the area of “Bullying at Work”. Following
a successful career in two different school boards as classroom teacher,
guidance counsellor, department head, vice-principal and then secondary
school principal, Fred now has system-wide responsibility for coordinating
the Bullying Prevention Planning work of a large urban school board.
His work at the Centre on “Bullying in the Workplace” is leading edge.
Focus: Targeting and Eliminating Bullying Behaviour in
the Workplace
We have a lot planned for this coming year including
the launch of a new book “Leadership by Engagement” by Kathleen Redmond.
So stay tuned for our next editions of “In 60 seconds” which will feature
excerpts from the book and solid concepts for developing your leaders
and leadership skills.
